Even though the forecast had said it would rain this weekend, it turned out to be a really nice day. After a 4-hour shift, I made my way over to Gurm and Allie's for dinner. I was craving BBQ about a week ago. Possibly has all to do with my yearning for doing something spring/summer related. And so, Gurm fired up the grill.
We had chicken wings and chips with a bit of alkie as appies while Gurm worked his magic at the grill. The rest of us sat around the dining table chatting. The back door was opened and a breeze blew in. Ahh, gotta love this kind of weather. Especiall when it's been so far and few.
Kam and Gary had interesting stories covering all topics under the sun. We spoiled our appetites a little with all the food beforehand, but we still thoroughly enjoyed our lovely BBQ dinner of steak, mashed potatoes, mango and strawberry salad, garlic bread and corn. Mmm...
Minh and Fred joined us shortly after, continuing with our food coma and our chit-chat. We all then moved to the living room and relived little moments of Gurm and Allie's wedding by watching their wedding video. Can't believe it's been almost two years. Time flies...
